chocowalnut-1

… the second to all 3 attempts to the cups/petites series/marathon i did before Christmas. still another recipe from Stel…a variation of the walnut and hazelnut petites.

..this one for me turned out just fine, not exactly something i will look forward to making again or giving away again…:] good but there are other better variations, so i’ll stick to those. i guess you might say that i am not really a chocolate lover, hence the preference to other sweets. the hazelnut version had the most raving and i quote my niece…’tita Ces, you can open up your own bakeshop now!’ teehee! that is by far the best Christmas greeting i got so far!:] thanks, pau!

i will be posting the recipe on my other website soon! i know! i have a lot to post over there and it has piled up already!!!

lighted-deer

again! we celebrated Christmas eve and a few days after with our cousins in Connecticut. in spite of the fact that it is supposedly our first Christmas here in Massachusetts, I just thought spending it with relatives instead of just the 4 us would be more merry.

..we got really busy having fun and resting and eating that i almost forgot to take pictures and these are the only decent ones i got.

hurricane-lamp

there’s quite a few more that i will post soon, but i love this hurricane lamp photo in her collection of Moroccan furniture most among others from my cousins house. If I were to design my next house it will also be Moroccan inspired adorned with Moroccan furniture and accessories. taken on a more relaxing day while watching tv with my cousins.
…an entry for WS-CT…Have a great week ahead and a joyous and prosperous new year to all you weekenders! let me take this opportunity too to thank you for visiting my website all throughout the year!!!

planters

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

There is nothing like living in a well designed house from furniture to curtains, paint and other finishes even to the most minute detail such as fixtures and accessories like planters or plant boxes. This very small detail can add up to the beauty of any area in your house such as the living room, dining room, kitchen and even your bathroom and bedroom.

I thought I have addressed this issue a long time ago when I bought a slatted wood or bamboo detailed pair in a nearby store, but it turned out to be a disaster since I did not consider the function of the entire product.  As it emitted a nasty stain on our wooden floor when I tried to water the plant in it! I never thought this is a big factor to consider when buying indoor planters. Of course the finishes vary depending on the function and specific location where the plant will be located. I prefer wood, more specifically dark stained wood when it comes to my indoor decor, but the function and build should also be considered, now I realize.

Even when purchasing window boxes and outdoor garden planters, the finish and its utility must be taken into account. Planterixchange is an online shop which caters to this and has the widest array of high quality yet affordable residential and commercial planters. For your individual needs or commercial requirements as a builder or owner, they provide products with a fully customized planter solution at low prices from indoor planters, window box planters, planter troughs, pots, tubs, urns and terrariums to water tanks and fountains, planter pedestals and even all planter accessories in various finishes, function and sizes.
