gỏi cuốn
…this for me is a quick fix. why? because we craved for Vietnamese food today and luckily we have a number of places to go to and get our cravings satiated. this one though is the cheapest around since we just bought it from the Asian store, ready made instead of eating or getting to-go from a Vietnamese Restaurant which could be a bit pricey. coupled with another ready mix of Beef Pho sans the soup, just cooked with Pho seasoning? we are golden!!!
gỏi cuốn, a Vietnamese salad roll, is translated as “spring roll”, while some others prefer the term “summer roll”. Ingredients include slivers of boiled or fried pork, shrimp, chicken, beef, fresh herbs, lettuce, sometimes fresh garlic chives, rice vermicelli, all wrapped in moistened rice paper, served cold with dipping sauce (nước chấm) or hoisin sauce. The salad roll is easily distinguished from a “minced pork roll” by the fact that it is not fried, the ingredients used are different. Spring roll refer to the freshness of the spring season with all the fresh ingredients

Lasang Pinoy, Sundays is a FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY meme, Pinoy style!
i’ve talked about my niece’s wedding this coming August and i still haven’t resolved what C will be wearing. having outgrown his suit, i need to find him another set. considering that it is a summer outdoor wedding, i am just thinking maybe bow ties will look cute and different. but my original plan on making him wear just a dress shirt won’t be appropriate anymore…hmmm.
…nope i don’t have that problem, on the contrary i do have a very thick mane and i have actually maintained to grow it long until now. i know i should be happy right? yeah, but if i continue harming my hair with chemicals sooner or later it will take a toll on me. but i know someone who needs a bottle of hair growth shampoo and hopefully i won’t be needing one myself ever!

yeah! wait for the comeback of the Celtics you 3-pointer you Kobe! hahaha! what can i say, MVP and he definitely deserves it. but my homey older Celtics players, I still got your six! and we shall return! with a vengeance!!!
Ito ay kuha noong nakaraang Sabado sa Canobie Lake Park kung saan may target shooting at ito ang isa sa mga targets! wehehehe! neat huh? to all Lakers fans, pardon me.
it was one great finals, upto the very last few seconds!
Lahok para sa Litratong Pinoy—PAGBABALIK. Abangan din ang aking pagbabalik! saan? I’m also taking this chance to apologize for not doing my own rounds in your entries, but i promise to TRY this time, especially because it’s summa time! no more school for us!!!
…having acne has never been a problem for me, thank God! and i hope it won’t be, ever! and that goes for my 2 kids too, please. i just wish that they take on my skin and never be prone to facial skin problems. i’ve heard about Acneticin to be a very good product in the treatment of pimples, good to know. still, i wouldn’t want to be in any situation as to being the one buying this for myself or for the kids.
…as far as i can comprehend, term life insurance as opposed to a life insurance has an expiry date that goes with it. correct me if i’m wrong, i just think that even if it’s considered as the most affordable term life insurance rates around. i really don’t care as long as we work on getting one anytime soon! we’re not getting any younger and this should be at the top of our priorities now.

…i am taking this opportunity to ask you my equally photo enthusiastic friends, how do you really take good action shots in manual mode other than a fast shutter speed?
what is follow focus?
and this i want to try myself too..
“panning. using a slower shutter speed, follow the action and press the shutter while STILL MOVING the camera.”
..this way the subject remains in focus while the other objects around it blur which creates the illusion of movement in the photo.
the photo above on the other hand is quite the opposite if we take the kid as the main subject.
ilan lamang ito sa napakarami kong tanong at challenges sa ngayon.
in the mean time…i also think that every single day my kids go to their karate class is like a test to them as every single improvement they do every single day makes them eligible for a step up…and i’m so proud to say that for only about a year or even less they are both now donning brown belts with 2 stripes! 2 more stripes and they are on their way to a junior black belt!
An entry to Litratong Pinoy—PAGSUSULIT/TEST or exam.
..speaking of fashion, i need to start finding Chino a new set of suit. we are going to be attending a niece’s garden wedding in August. the thing is he has already outgrown his old pair, i’m afraid. it is summer though, i’m just thinking maybe he can wear something like a tuxedo pants and polo set instead which can even be even more apt for the occasion and season, right?
missing those days when i shop for work clothes. not that i don’t have a lot, trust me..i do! where are they now? in plastic bins in our basement! it’s just occupying too much space up here and there’s just no reason for me to keep them close hand. for now. my daily wardrobe has evolved into casual, comfy and more like urban clothes. that’s my life now. casual, comfy, urban.
..a few days ago my siblings were talking about stepping up and taking control of finances properly and wisely. i am so happy for them knowing that they have a full grasp of the value of money and how to save up for the future. this is why i am seriously looking for the bestlife insurance rate out there right now. this is a new goal set for today.
