Bed time is always anticipated in our house and I’m so sure this applies to anybody. But what we look forward most is the time for all 4 of us to snuggle together on our king size bed. Yes, we sleep in one bed most of the time even if the kids have their own rooms. This is how we are used to spending the night…together. We do this normally during week days. This makes it easier for us to get ready and wake up each other before heading out to work and school for the kids. The weekends on the other hand, is meant for watching TV until late at night especially for M and myself. It’s our movie nights, in the comfort of our own bed. That goes the same for the kids too. Since they have their own favorite TV shows and activities and these are the only days that they can stay up late, they prefer sleeping in their room.
This is why a quality and comfortable Time4Sleep Beds are a must for all of us. Most especially for me because I tend to be sleepless and this results to body aches in the morning. I used to suffer from mild scoliosis way back when I was in high school and I should really get a professional’s opinion again, just to be sure. Plus of course a good bed, I know will be one of the solutions to this problem.
I envy those who are pregnant nowadays. You know why? They have all the great options in the world to wear pretty and hip baby doll clothes. Unlike my time, when we had no other choice but to wear those not so stylish swingy types alone, which do not do much justice to someone’s bulging body. But times have definitely changed…speaking of fashion maternity clothes, that is. Looking at these funky styles sometimes make me want to get pregnant again! What’s more fascinating is that we can now save money on outfits in the long run because fashionable as they are, these preggy look outfits can be worn even after giving birth.

You gotta love the bling! This isn’t mine, though. My sister gave this to my daughter. S wasn’t using it and it was just sitting in her jewelry box.
Sayang eh!
Neither is this next photo mine…
yes kay S pa rin ito. Binili nya sa eskwelahan for a dollar. Cute no?
I can actually borrow it and use it one of these days.

Not so sure if this will pass as a shoe entry, because obviously these are slippers… slipper necklace, that is.
Pwede na rin siguro:)

This is one of my favorite accessories…not the ultimate one, as I I’d say it must be my pearl earrings that I would consider at the top of my list, if only because I use those most often. any time, any day, any occasion.

Notice how it reflects different colors as i change backgrounds? Nice prismatic effect no? hehe! aliw lang…
prism… is a transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that refract light. The exact angles between the surfaces depend on the application. The traditional geometrical shape is that of a triangular prism with a triangular base and rectangular sides, and in colloquial use “prism” usually refers to this type. Some types of optical prism are not in fact in the shape of geometric prisms. Prisms are typically made out of glass, but can be made from any material that is transparent to the wavelengths for which they are designed. [source:wiki]

now this is the complete set…Swarovski necklace, bracelet and pair of dangling earrings [that you cannot see anymore because of the blur/bokeh result of this macro shot]…Dati, pang medyo espesyal no okasyon ko lang ito ginagamit, pero nitong mga huling araw ay suot suot ko ito maski na sa kanto lang ang pupuntahan ko, hahaha!

…and this is me with all the paraphernalias:]..

…with a JEWELRY/ALAHAS theme.

we moved recently and we are all so loving this hotel vibe that this smaller but cozier place resonates. for me it’s more of a ’starting-anew’ or ’starting-all-over’ phase once again. and as always, what goes with moving is the opportunity to practice my craft in interior design. so my good ‘ol turquoise and chocolate brown theme is now the color of spring-summer-fall rolled into one. winter is all behind us now…so to speak! think blood oranges…cinnamon, pumpkin and some chunky chocolates. which used to be the color scheme of my NY bedroom, then it went to my daughter’s bedroom in our previous house here in Mass…and now has evolved into my living room.

i even have a new comfy sofa! it is in chocolate brown and i am just trying to protect it from two not-so-spill-proof-critters…[read:my lovely kids] hee! design, painting, arranging, organizing has all been taken cared of [except for the kids room, wherein organizing and cleaning is never ending! geesh!] and this is the exact reason why i haven’t been blogging and cooking [or vice versa] much lately. see? this is what i get so hyped about moving, the creativity part. and there’s still more to be accomplished…sewing some panels, cushion covers probably, some artworks to be painted by my artsy daughter and /or created by another artsy me and some shelvings, frames to be hung still…notice that almost bare wall with just one artwork? i am still contemplating on other options to put up there.

…as for the kitchen, stay tuned as that’s another story:] on my Saturday/Sunday post to be exact.

If I stay in tune in the tradition of this blog, this cookie bag that I baked with the kids months ago, will ultimately be my entry for this week’s theme.

This left me with no choice but to share my other ‘ultimate’ fave accessory [okay okay, one of them! hee!] that comes packed with just the perfect features in terms of size, shape, color, material and most especially function. I also like the fat that the hardwares are in silver, this is also what I prefer in discount door hardware pieces, by the way.

This tote just comes in handy anytime, anywhere. Its wine red shade is not particularly neutral, but this is how I add punch to any outfit [if red or yellow isn't my thing at the time, hee!] even if it’s as ordinary as a jeans, white shirt and sneakers day for me.
