let’s bolt in

Monday, March 30th, 2009

I am so excited about this cool website I found the other day and I want to share it with all of you. First and foremost, I have been really hooked up with these online shopping most recently for almost everything you can think of from fashion stuffs like bags, shoes, clothes, kid’s outfits to home appliances like my recent splurging on that most sought after Kitchenaid Artisan even to camera lenses and accessories. Then I bumped into this genius gifting option. Not necessarily for myself, but also for others.

Don’t you thin bigger and more expensive is better? Yes, when it comes to presents, whether giving or receiving. I have always thought that group gifting is a more exciting and fun way of sending someone your love, appreciation or even comfort. This method has been done before. I remember we used to chip in during high school or college with friends when we wanted to give a big gift for someone who is celebrating his or her birthday, even when it was time that most of us were settling down and getting married. It was such a bright idea because one cannot afford to spend that much to be able to give the best gift ever.

Now there is another easier and better way in coming up with unique gift ideas…online!  You can choose from all kinds of stuffs like handbags, toys, cameras, kitchen gadgets,  animal stuffs even cars from different retailers like Target, Macy’s, Apple Store, Sur La Table, Amazon, Leog, Linens N Things and so much more!  It’s so simple really, even if all 12 of you are spread all around the world, you can still give that perfect gift just by dividing the amount by 12 and that’s all each one will spend really!  Isn’t that awesome?  If only I had known about this,  I would’ve waited for my beloved family and friends to purchase that Kitchenaid for me! Hee!

hip abs

I envy those who are pregnant nowadays. You know why? They have all the great options in the world to wear pretty and hip baby doll clothes. Unlike my time, when we had no other choice but to wear those not so stylish swingy types alone, which do not do much justice to someone’s bulging body. But times have definitely changed…speaking of fashion maternity clothes, that is. Looking at these funky styles sometimes make me want to get pregnant again! What’s more fascinating is that we can now save money on outfits in the long run because fashionable as they are, these preggy look outfits can be worn even after giving birth.

shoe-bling-1

You gotta love the bling! This isn’t mine, though. My sister gave this to my daughter. S wasn’t using it and it was just sitting in her jewelry box.
Kaya ngayon gamit gamit ko na ito kasama ang mga susi ko ng bahay at sasakyan. Sayang eh!

Neither is this next photo mine…
yes kay S pa rin ito. Binili nya sa eskwelahan for a dollar. Cute no?
I can actually borrow it and use it one of these days.

shoe-bling-2

Not so sure if this will pass as a shoe entry, because obviously these are slippers… slipper necklace, that is.
Pwede na rin siguro:)

An entry to LP-Shoes…with a SAPATOS theme! …and here’s another entry! i wish it were Dansko shoes though:]…

stride in style

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

The downside of being this tall,  standing at 5 foot 8 inches… is that I rarely wear high heeled shoes due to functionality and convenience.  But if it is fashion we are going to talk about, then yes…count me in! I am dying inside to wear stilettos, at least when the situation calls for it.   But if I stay true to myself, being in my current status now as a stay at home mom, running around most of the time here and there, doing errands, dropping off  and picking up the kids to and from school,  it just doesn’t make sense, right? On special occasions on the other hand like parties, weddings and even on a lovely date night, it wouldn’t hurt I guess.  Especially now that I found this awesome online store that sells these kinds of fashinable pairs.

These daniblack shoes resonate style. Most of the shoes I have seen on their website are nicely made. Some may say that it is a bit on the higher priced shoes but this is only so because these are quality products. They offer all kinds of styles from pumps to platform shoes, boots to sandals and yes…I am happy to say, they also have flats. I even saw this sleek and sophisticated peep-toe slingback in crocodile skin material that I know my sister will really love.  I actually like them too if not for the 2 or so inch high heels.   Having said all these, I think I will get myself those sporty and chic elastic type of shoes in a variety of bright suede and metallic finishes.  They are just perfect for this coming spring and summer seasons!
