bullet it or NOT!

bella-cucina

the magic bullet. that’s how i know it is called. we received this as a Christmas present from one of my cousins in CT, and it is the Bella Cucina version of the said smoothie maker. it does ‘replaces a food processor, blender, and coffee grinder’ all in this one simple gadget and it is in fact a breeze to operate and ‘can do virtually any job in the kitchen in 10 seconds or less’ as the original bullet claims. this brand does all those too. i’m glad. Marco is glad, beyond glad. he just loves making fruit smoothies and milk shakes, which is good. he even promised to make the kids a glass of vanilla milk shake everyday.

Photobucket

these photos were taken during my cousin’s demo of the said product…on Christmas day. hehe! with all the round fruits that night, it was a hit and it still is in our household! thanks again, ate Vic! i love it as you said i would!:) health-wise, it is a good product because it has lessened Marco’s soda intake since we received it! plus the design fits oh so perfectly with my other kitchen toys!  more importantly, i am loving the idea that it saves in cleaning up time too since you can go ahead and drink from the cup itself.

kitchen racks

Monday, June 8th, 2009

When you live in a teeny tiny apartment like the one we had in New York, racks and other clever storage solutions in the kitchen are very essential. Primarily, I was so intent in finding the most reasonable and well configured set such as the jk adams pot rack, because our cupboards and under counter cabinets then are not enough plus this is a much convenient way of storing pots and pans as it is easier to access them during hectic culinary adventures. As much as I want everything tucked inside cabinets and drawers, I really had no other choice. This is why choosing a stylish design is also a priority.

This holds true even on the choice of other kitchen gadgets and tools. I also treat the kitchen as another design challenge. The very reason why I meticulously select color coordinated essentials and accessories as well.  All these time though there is one thing that I still aim for.  Ironically, this would be a new jk adams spice rack. One that is well constructed and can accommodate the ever increasing number of spices that I have and still need. Oh, and there’s more! A jk adams chopping board would also be ideal in my new kitchen now, a little bigger and better than what we used to have back in the city.

Wordless Wednesday: my artisan

artisan
As previously seen in this chatterbox, I am now a rightful owner of the much sought after Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer. It may not be in the exact shade that I was originally drooling on which is the empire red color, black on the other hand is next on my list… having a black and white themed kitchen with splashes of red. Now I am thinking…those splashes will come when I feel the need for additional attachments! Wouldn’t that be a cool idea? Hee! and probably an orange and yellow here and there as well…*grins*!

crepe-artisan
Call it basic, but I have test driven this baby with some delicious Frenchies, crepes that is and it works great! Now I am happy.
Those who are so into Ebay would attest to the fact that this is one of the fears that we have when we win in an auction at times, especially when we are talking hundreds of dollars involved. The item might not be as how we expect them to be. Although this is said to be in unused condition, it certainly lives up to the sellers ad and for more than half the original price?…I say, it is well worth the sweat! Literally, bidding and waiting for the last trickle of second until the bidding ends?…exhausting and adrenalin boosting! until I finally received a notice that I won! Whew!

An entry to WW-artisan, which turned out not so wordless, after all! hee!
