isa sa mga pangunahing bagay na napatunayan kong muli mula nang malaman namin na ang aking mahal na esposo ay may diabetes, ay ang kanyang natatanging disiplina sa sarili, at ngayon ay maging sa kanyang katawan. unang una, naging very conscious na siya sa mga kinakain nya at ang pinakamahalaga ay sa kauna unahang araw ng diagnosis sa kanya, tumigil na siya kaagad sa paninigarilyo. ang galing di ba? as in! sana ako rin matigil na haha! ooops! i think it’s the very first time i wrote about this. anyway, may ilan na nakakaalam nito sa inyo pero it’s something that i need help with. especially at this point in our lives. with the big D and our age…wag na nating pag usapan ang numero. pero it is about time to quit. at disiplina ang kinakailangan. isa nalang ang dapat naming gawin mag-asawa at ito ay ang regular exercise. lahat ng bawal hindi na ginagawa ni M at ehersisyo nalang ang kulang and we’re on the right path to beating this disease. i hope.

what’s the photo doing on this post? well well…i made this dessert/snack specifically for M…it is diabetes friendly and i got it from one of the cookbooks that we bought recently…if you want to know how to make it..here it is on my food blog. good not only for someone with diabetes but for me and my daughter as well who lurrvvveesss it!:)

…this for me is a quick fix. why? because we craved for Vietnamese food today and luckily we have a number of places to go to and get our cravings satiated. this one though is the cheapest around since we just bought it from the Asian store, ready made instead of eating or getting to-go from a Vietnamese Restaurant which could be a bit pricey. coupled with  another ready mix of Beef Pho sans the soup, just cooked with Pho seasoning? we are golden!!!

gỏi cuốn, a Vietnamese salad roll, is translated as “spring roll”, while some others prefer the term “summer roll”. Ingredients include slivers of boiled or fried pork, shrimp, chicken, beef, fresh herbs, lettuce, sometimes fresh garlic chives, rice vermicelli, all wrapped in moistened rice paper, served cold with dipping sauce (nước chấm) or hoisin sauce. The salad roll is easily distinguished from a “minced pork roll” by the fact that it is not fried, the ingredients used are different. Spring roll refer to the freshness of the spring season with all the fresh ingredients

Ito ay kuha noong nakaraang Sabado sa Canobie Lake Park kung saan may target shooting at ito ang isa sa mga targets! wehehehe! neat huh? to all Lakers fans, pardon me. it was one great finals, upto the very last few seconds!

…i am taking this opportunity to ask you my equally photo enthusiastic friends, how do you really take good action shots in manual mode other than a fast shutter speed?

what is follow focus?

and this i want to try myself too..
“panning. using a slower shutter speed, follow the action and press the shutter while STILL MOVING the camera.”
..this way the subject remains in focus while the other objects around it blur which creates the illusion of movement in the photo.

the photo above on the other hand is quite the opposite if we take the kid as the main subject.

ilan lamang ito sa napakarami kong tanong at challenges sa ngayon.

in the mean time…i also think that every single day my kids go to their karate class is like a test to them as every single improvement they do every single day makes them eligible for a step up…and i’m so proud to say that for only about a year or even less they are both now donning brown belts with 2 stripes! 2 more stripes and they are on their way to a junior black belt!

an entry to Litratong Pinoy…PAG-ASA. hope.

…parang kailan lang…puno ng snow ang kapaligiran. ngayon naman, mainit na. not that i’m complaining. i love it warm and sunny always! hindi ko pa rin maipagpapalit ang nakagisnan natin sa lamig at putik na dulot ng snow.

…maging ang mga bata, alam kong excited sila tuwing parating na ang panahon ng snow pero mas lalo kapag pwede na silang maglaro sa labas maski araw araw tulad nitong nassa larawan kung saan ang dalaginding ko ay dinalaw ng kanyang bestfriend. they spent a few hours together and i know they had the best of times, indoors and outdoors.

Pasernsya na sa putol na larawan…i’ve been having problems with WP for months now. i can’t edit/resize photos, i can’t use these post timestamp, etc. it’s slowly crumbling and i don’t know how to fix it!!!! been trying to upgrade to a newer WP version but haven’t had that much luck. Isang PAGBABAGO na matagal ko nang gustong gawin, ang palitan ang WP version na ito! waaahhh!!!!
