after months of growing his hair, he finally agreed to get a TRIM! so off we go right after i got a call form M saying that he’s also getting a hair cut, in our shorts, shirt and flipflops garb. yes peeps, a few cm of hair gone, not wven an inch i think! he still wants the do long and not the usual short short hair that we all love on him. oh well, glad that at least it’s not as unruly anymore.

that day at the thrift store was meant for hunting cheap and authentic retro stuffs for my o-going kitchen project. It was even unplanned if not for a commissioned supposedly tire trouble task. the car repair shop being located right across the Goodwill store where cheapskates like me get all hyped when it comes to scavenging for good household seconds, I decided to take that turn and try my luck on whatever I can find. whilst inside, I was actually liking what I was seeing all around me on that particular morning and as I held on to a couple [yes 2 of them on each hand] of vintage film camera toys, my eyes can’t keep still on one item in that glass shelf. sure enough as I did a quarter turn to my right, my gaze went vertical… lo and behold! a guitar! not the toy guitar from Walmart that I was so ready to settle with to get for my very-eager-to-learn-to-play little man, but a real, smaller than regular sized one… with a brand! you should see me grabbing it…all adrenalin pumped up with a this-is-mine!!!-mine!!-mine!!! look as I lovingly clutched it to my chest! all I can think of is the never ending I-love-you and tightest hugs as I hand it to my precious C and decided to get a cart and continue with my journey…hunting!
the end.
a serenade…with that infamous [well, not really] guitar i found for cheap for and by my little man C.

breakfast in bed.
my new laptop on my bedside table.

FB check..and a blog post from a dear NFF…New Found Friend.
..these may just be a few reasons why i am back to the blogosphere, not just with daily photo posts as i have been left with doing for months now..but with WORDS… more than words, even.
i thought to myself…wouldn’t it be nice to share my mini adventure yesterday? of course! and whadayaknow! Bernadette 4 hours earlier, did just that! whew! great save there, NFF! okay nuff with that NFF haha!
so head on over to her uber fascinating [yes, let's be you're-so-70's with words too, since i am in a retro phase lately] blog and read about it!!!
such a great read, not only this one particluar post, mind you…most especially if you know me enough and appreciate things that i do appreciate myself. dig deeper way way down, and you’ll be hooked! and while you’re at it, why not go ahead and link her up too!!!:) and to you Bernadette, you should be a writer m’dear!
i know it seems so cliche to say it’s due to personal reasons…that on slacking on my blogs once again. but the main reason was that my website has been crashing down on me for about a year now due to my blogging platform which is the oldest WP version, ever! i wasn’t successful in all my attempts to upgrade to a newer and better version and this caused more problems in the whole site sending me errors here and there, until last week when Iska helped me out to fix it and now i am so happy to say i have the newest WP version, ever! yay! we actually had to do a temporary website, moved all my files and some SQL fixing up that i cannot do myself…and finally moving back the said files here. some double checking if anything is at all missing from posts to comments to pages, etc…and voila! a whole new world!!!
happy back to blogging to me! i hope!
thanks again ka-is! sa uulitin!
…one of life’s greatest upside. a gift worth treasuring. just glad that my daughter found this beautiful friendship early on in her life. what they have is so special that even studying in different middle schools cannot break that special bond. love seeing them together last Sunday, doing what they do…and Vicky giving Sam that hug when it was time for her to go home. and as she walked out, Samia said…’maybe in college we’ll be in the same school again.’ maybe…:)

i’m not a worrier, neither am i a warrior….if that’s good or bad, i am not sure. what i’m positive about is that—life is good. i know it is.

he set of photos where this shot is a part of, is the root of all evil…so to speak, of my recent heartache. the pain of losing a whole lot of good photos in the perfect setting, perfect subject is simply heart stabbing, mind wrenching pain!!! i tell ya! needless to say, i was oh so mad and sad the past days because of this and up until today i just can’t get over it. that said, i have decided to head back to Plimoth Plantation which is a trip to…
“the 17th century!where you can smell a pottage cooking inside a colonial house, or watch a traditional Wampanoag dugout boat being made….ask questions from skilled educators and interpreters. Make your textbooks come alive!”

..anyway…back to the photo. to make a long story short…this shot was one of the reasons why my files had to be deleted from the SD card that day. thinking i have already saved them on my hard drive. we went to this kite fest last Sunday for some family fun in the sun.oh it’s such a whole twisted story really.. i have 3 SD cards…all full. my card reader went dead. i moved the photos from the said card through a USB, direct from the camera..for the very first time.my hard drive and external hard drive boinked on me too, losing space to save up files.i saw the photos…all of them in one particular folder! they were really good, if i should add. at least as far as i’ve seen in the few seconds i had to view them before we headed out.needless to say, i was rushing out and it sort of prompted me about the memory not enough to save [even send to recycle bin!] so it asked me if i want some files deleted permanently, and yes you guessed it right…i clicked yes. thinking the files are safe in one folder!!!! d’uh!!!!siguro, i just need to pour this all out by blogging about it…gaya ng ginagawa ko ngayon, para makalimutan ko na ang kaga—lingan ko! hahaha! anyway…napalitan naman ng ibang kasayahan ang lahat ng nangyari…sa pamamagitan nitong araw na ito…that was well spent. with the FAMILY! and well documented. more photos to come!

…the cinnabuns made recently, all by herself. yes it may be another out of the tin goody but i can’t help but still be proud. from popping the tin, arranging in the cookie sheet, turning on the oven! and taking them out..to serving a piece to her mom..me! all on her own.

humuhusay na rin lumangoy maski na wala pa syang pormal na training. isa sa mga activities na tunay namang na-e-enjoy nilang dalawang magkapatid.

…what the kids had for breakfast today. Champorado with milk spots. S’s favorite breakfast, lunch, dinner! haha!

a comfort food for her especially on this snow spotted day. natuluan ng tubig ang snow sa deck kaya
naging batik batik.

…my snow-spotted car. and at times like these, I can only dream of the sun and spending the day in those Miami Beach condos!
