…Takoyaki craving!!! must get them ingredients ASAP! heard there’s a hole-in-the-wall takoyaki/okonomiyaki place in the East Village of NYC though..i wonder who’ll get me some??:P but yeah, i’ll try to substitute ingredients if i can’t get a hold on the real thing for now..

As Julia Child [and Paula Dean] always say, ‘you can never go wrong with too much butter…i would like to add a little twist to that by saying—and CHEESE! more specifically if both ingredients are used in one dish. one delicious and scrumptious dish such as GRILLED MUSSELS, or baked if you please. We often make this with just melted butter and garlic but found out that adding cheese on it makes it even more rich and satisfying. On this one, we used fresh mozzarella cheese..which explains that gooey and sticky golden goodness.

And so for this challenge, we want to focus on CHEESE…fresh, powdered, cheddar, strips, chunks, round, white what have you!

…Saturday mornings, more often than not is our ‘you-me-while-the-kids-do-karate’ time as a couple or something like that.  our less than an hour gastronomic date. or shall i say, our ONLY date a week if we’re lucky enough. as simple as it is,  we definitely love it and always look forward to this ‘luxury’ that we are blessed with.

If you notice, we are still on freestyle this week as I forgot to post the upcoming themes. My apologies. So I am happy to announce that for next Sunday, our theme is all about…KIDS! so put those thinking caps on and let the child in you reign supreme!!!:)

There was a time when we used to order a number of house and apartment mailboxes from here in the United States or buy from stores around here when we get to visit and then bring them home to the Philippines. During those times, they are very hard to find since these are not available then in our country. We use them for personal use and also for the houses that we build. The weekend went by so fast. Starting off with the kid’s Luau Dance on Friday night, which was fun especially for the girl. The little boy did not exactly have the best of times since his buddies weren’t around and the only kids surrounding him were girls! haha! Saturday was spent doing our usual weekly grocery shopping and a playdate for the kids. Now, Sunday…was entirely a family affair, other than C’s first Reconciliation where he just had to go to the priest and pray.  Afterwards, we heard mass and off we went!

…to the beach, where the kids got to play a wee bit since it was fairly sunny but still breezy. it was lunch time then and when we felt our tummy’s grumbling…literally! we crossed the street and had a lovely lunch at The Clambox. Fortunately, they re-opened a week ago after closing store during the colder months…
