Lasang Pinoy, Sundays: eye Candy
…i was thinking of posting a more eye candy-ish candy suitable to both the title and the theme, but i didn’t get the chance to buy some before today. i hope this one is eye candy enough for you!:]
CANDY
1: crystallized sugar formed by boiling down sugar syrup
2 a: a confection made with sugar and often flavoring and filling b: a piece of such confection
3: something that is pleasant or appealing in a light or frivolous way

This fruit-tella candies were from my sister who used to work with the makers of the said confection along with some other famous chews…she brought it here last August and yes, we still have some left. The kids love this, especialy the strawberry variant.
As for the photography side…i could’ve deleted that blurry green object on the left side to make this photo a bit better, right? but i try to post unadulterated photos as much as i can without any photoshop tinkering beyond resizing and adding texts…so, my bad. or i should not have included that MAXX candy in the first place, huh? another fave of the kids. we usually go out of our way to grab some packs from the Filipino store for these.

I remember these! My Lolo used to have jars of these (sorted by flavor, of course!) in his cabinet which he so readily shared with us apos.
My favorite is the strawberry flavor.

Fruit Tella is yummy! Fave ko to Ces…especially orange flavor! Hahaha Usually I get tonsillitis after I consume the whole “stick” kaya nga hindi na ako bumilil ng fruit tella ngayon…

My favorite was the coffee flavored one, used to immerse it in water to make coffee. I never did transform one into a drink though.
