Lasang Pinoy, Sundays: left-over

…this is a classic holiday food, Meat Loaf from our Christmas Noche Buena. too bad i didn’t even get the chance to ask for my mom’s recipe. another comfort food with lots of childhood memories to be cherished forever…this on the other hand was a to-go cooked by one of my cousins from Connecticut. still delicious and up until this day, i still have a few slices left which i will eat for lunch in a few minutes!:]…
For LaPiS, it’s all about ‘pangat’ as we call it…a jargon of sorts for ‘pangatlo’, for the nth time, recycled…LEFT-OVER food! tends to be tastier eaten this way! though there is that guilt feeling and a desire for me to grab some acne treatment after eating all those oily stuff! lol!
is a weekly FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY meme, PINOY style! Kain na!

I love meat loaf too but not tofu cheesecake. That I left over! Ha ha!
Haha…pangat…that made me laugh.
I shared a left over for today’s LaPiS.
Though meatloaf is a classic “pangat” dish (as you said), I still love it nonetheless! And you’re right, the longer its “life”, the more flavorful it becomes!
Happy LaPiS to all!
naku ate Ces sorry i had no idea
kami rin sa family is tracing our Lolo’s Morcon Recipe even my aunt (dad’s sis) cant trace it, even lolo’s friends and cooking mates cant recall how they done it. tayong mga pinoy kasi we cook by our instincts (tantsahan) kaya kahit ipasa sa next generation yung recipe we cant make it dat good

Looks delicious. I haven’t had meatloaf in a long time. I like to pan-fry the slices so they get a little crispy.
