Lasang Pinoy, Sundays: Rice, Rice, Rice…Yay!
September 27, 2008 at 4:48 pm , by Ces

I had no rice yesterday. Not my choice but unavoidable circumstances prevail sometimes…maybe this is why I am feeling a bit under the weather today. Deprivation from rice makes me weak! waaah! After all, rice is said to be an important part of our diet, right? Well for most of us especially Pinoys, it is a staple food. No worries though, I made sure that I replace all those lost nutrients [read:carbs] during lunch today, Binagoongan with loads and loads of RICE! A few chunks of pork equates to 3 cups of rice when it comes to these rice-friendly types of Pinoy dishes.

This is our LASANG PINOY, SUNDAYS theme for the week. RICE. As it is, fried, white, brown, yellow, salty or sweet…just like the photo above of my STICKY RICE topped with a slice of mango…Bring it on! We’ll have rice galore, with or without the Pork Binagoongan:) I now welcome you to THE RICE CHALLENGE!

This is a weekly Food Photography meme, Pinoy style! Don’t forget link back and sprinkle some spiCe!
