Lasang Pinoy, Sundays Week#22: 2Tone

another week has passed [the saddest for me, but as they say life goes on] and for Lapis, our theme is anything 2 colored, two toned as we call it. the very first thing that came to mind was a picture of sunny side eggs, but i decided to make use of that on another upcoming theme instead. and then i came across this photo in my archives…close enough, eh? in other words, i had a hard time picking an entry for this week! hee!
my GUINATAANG MAIS [sticky rice and corn in coconut milk], with the shades of yellow and white…uhmm off-white? S’s favorite. my favorite…what i normally end up with when a craving for guinataan strikes. easier to make than guinataang bilo-bilo, but the comfort it evokes is undeniably present. oh so good especially on a Sunday merienda [snack].
i’ll be looking forward to your creative
entries! LAPIS is a weekly FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY meme, PINOY style!

take care, Ces…and God bless!

My lola used to make wonderful guinataan with bilo-bilo (which I do not really like) and my favorite minatamis na saging saba, kamote and sago.
I have yet to try this with my kids. Masubukan nga
Hope everything is ok, Ces.
