momcooks.dadcooks. – a new joint
Good beautiful 80’s day y’all! It’s still morning here, nice warm enough morning but in a few minutes I’ll have to get going and pick up the kids. Tuesday is half a day of school for them, and it’s also our ‘burger and fries’ lunch day! Hmmm, do I really want those now? I am still full from my PUSITSILOG breakfast. Nyumnyum! This is why I should get that Wii Fit asap! Anyway, that will be another post…
This is why I am posting today…

Announcing a new joint…MOMCOOKS.DADCOOKS. Why joint? Here’s yet another Food for your hungry tummy site! but this time I have the honor to introduce Mr. M himself, joining forces [err...battling it out] with me?
This site is undergoing some major refurbishment, still but finally..finally, after almost 3 years of food blogging, I [now referred to as 'mom' in the new site] have influenced M [who is now represented as 'dad'] to join the band wagon! yay! We have decided to make it a joint site, still of our kitchen adventures with a hint of a ‘cook off‘ every now and then. Based on the acclaimed ‘he said, she said‘ fashion…you will mostly find recipes and of course food photography from either of us with a review from each other at the end of the day. To make it simpler…when dad cooks, mom critiques and vice versa…I don’t know! It just flowed out naturally one sunday morning, yep the other day:)…this idea! and it sounded great!
As many of you would know, it was ‘dad’ who really had a knack in cooking even before we got married, but years of blogging to cook and cooking to blog, ‘mom’ has gained some credentials to join this battle…an exciting one, mind you. So get your gears ready and head on for the face off!
Hope to hear from you all over there and I invite you to be the arbiter when momcooks.dadcooks!
…and here’s an excerpt of the very first post from DAD…

DAD SAYS:
Time is hard, no doubt about it but you don’t have to sacrifice good eats in spite of all this, right? How about whipping your appetite with some nifty chinese-inspired down-home cooking such as this mami and siopao [chicken noodle soup and pork buns] combo? Sounds good!
DAD COOKS:
The buns were really easy to make…
