thanksgiving, the aftermath

…i just remembered that i haven’t blogged about our thanksgiving dinner. it was such a crazy week and there after which left me with no choice but to delay that post until this day… now that i am doing some laundry after spending the day out in the snow. our very first ever for the season! and while i am at it, i also managed to hang some christmas lights in the living room and dining room windows. the tree has got to wait until the next weekend i guess…
the photo above is the hurried dessert that i made for the holiday dinner. hurried and cheat eats, at that! it was so disappointing that we weren’t able to get some lobsters the night before when we went grocery shopping…due to its low price at $4.50 per pound, that i also forgot to get some double cream for the creme brulee i was planning to make. i have almost given up and settled for a thanksgiving spread without any dessert until i saw the coconut creme can in my cupboard. to keep it simple, the recipe which called for double cream, i switched with coconut milk. and guess what? it was still good! saved by the can!:]
