weekend snapshot #2: M’s Birthday Weekend

Nyup! It was overall a well-spent family-time weekend again with M celebrating his birthday last Friday that ended up until the weekend is over. We started off with this pasta dish I prepared for dinner with some garlic toast action on the side and some Tiramisu birthday cake for dessert. It was a very simple family only birthday celebration so I thought pasta and cake would be enough for a dinner for 4.
Over time, I feel that this is the dish that I have almost perfected…supposedly Baked Macaroni but I switched the elbows with some thin spaghetti instead…for long life, so it’s BAKED SPAGHETTI. It’s a Filipino tradition and I never missed making any pasta or noodle dish every time somebody’s celebrating his or her birthday.

Right after dinner, we headed to our neighbor’s house Mrs. Rambutan, for their little share and timely enough, she was baking up some loaf of bread for M, together with a bottle of chocolate spread! I must say…it was the best freshly baked bread we’ve ever had that when we got home we cannot resist tasting it right away and finished almost half of the humongous loaf, and only with butter! Yuuumm! Now, M is set on buying moi my own bread maker! Woot! Thanks Stel!

Saturday night was fun too when we watched Iron Man [a good one but the little tot got sleepy during the second half of the movie] right after church, the grocery and dinner.
Finally yesterday, sunday was spent outdoors. We headed off to the park then to the nearby Wollaston Beach to unwind and the kids had some fun themselves enjoying the very nice weather at 70’s [unfortunately it's back to harsh winds today:(]. The day ended up with a wonderful and delicious lunch over at Tony’s Clam Shoppe right in front of the bay with some fish, chicken and calamari and chips! It’s our first time there and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN M!
This is another entry for Weekend Snaphsot.
